Huawei laucnhes Nova duo officially, starts at $310

The Huawei Nova, which was unveiled alongside the Nova Plus at this year's IFA conference in Berlin, has been officially launched yesterday in China. With its new Nova series, Huawei looks to bring style and refinement to mid-rangers, crafting a pair of handsets designed to evoke the same sort of jealous looks owners of lesser devices feel when gazing upon Apple or Samsung's latest hero phones.

1st on the list, the Nova, a 5-inch device with a Full HD screen, Snapdragon 625 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 12-megapixel camera with larger-than-average pixels. It’s encased in an aluminum unibody shell and bears more than a passing resemblance to the Nexus 6P that Huawei built for Google. The Nova’s rear-mounted fingerprint reader is, according to its maker, the fastest in the world, requiring only 0.3 seconds to identify a user.

Huawei Nva Plus review

2nd on the list is a 5.5-inch Nova Plus, which has a different design and a couple of spec bumps, but is otherwise a direct match for the smaller sibling. The Nova Plus boasts a 16-megapixel camera (greater resolution, but smaller pixels: 1.12μm vs the Nova’s 1.25μm) and a 3,340mAh battery as its distinguishing features. It has the same Full HD resolution as the Nova.

As for pricing, the 3GB RAM variant carries a tag of RMB 2,099, which interprets into round $310 currently. The 4GB RAM version, prices RMB 2,399, or round $355. Colour choices embrace Vibrant Moon White and Champagne Gold (with black entrance panel) for the 3GB variant, and Rose Gold and Champagne Gold (with each black and white entrance panels) for the 4GB model.

Moto X Style release is near, competition is roaring around

The Moto X series is one the sweetest Android phones over the year for its features packed price conscious nature. Building on the success of last two generation of Moto X handset his year Motorola's doing something a little different for its top-end Moto X series. Instead of releasing one handset, Motorola's launching two models dubbed the Moto X Play and Moto X Style, and it's hoping these two smartphones will offer the same premium features as the 2nd Gen Moto X at a price that's much kinder to your wallet.

Following the trend of larger screen sizes, it seems Motorola has taken this trend to its logical conclusion by cramming a 5.7” display into the phone, which really places this squarely in the phablet space rather than smartphone space despite the 76% screen to body ratio. The design has also been refreshed for this year to distinguish this device from the previous Moto X if size wasn’t enough of a differentiator.

Where can i buy unlocked Moto X Style?

This new Moto smartphone has a 21-megapixel image sensor and comes with the best in class camera. It has a 1.8GHz hexa-core Snapdragon processor, 3GB of RAM, 3,000mAh battery, up to 64GB of built-in storage as well as microSD expansion, and a new water-repellent coating.

The Moto X Style will be available in September, and will be offered on Motomaker. A Pure Edition that works on all 4 US carriers will be offered for sale unlocked in the US as well. The standard colors will be white and black, with options for customization via Motomaker for leather, wood, and silicone finishes. The price will start $400 for the Pure Edition.

Samsung unveils beautiful selfie focused Galaxy E5 & E7 in Bangladesh

Samsung has unveiled two mid-tier smartphones in its brand new Galaxy E-series - the Galaxy E5 and the Galaxy E7 in Bangladesh. The Samsung Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7 are mostly mid-range devices, though the E7 is somewhat gravitating toward the upper mid-range one segment. The series, said to be targeted at the youth segment, is described as made up of 'powerful and compact' smartphones with a good viewing and selfie experience. Both smartphones feature what Samsung is calling 'Hybrid Dual-SIM', allowing the second SIM slot to be used as a microSD card slot. Both employ 7.3mm-thin aluminum unibodies, which bring them closer to the A5 and A7. The design language is Samsung's typical one, once again reminding us of their Alpha cousins. Both the Galaxy E5 and E7 are running Samsung's own TouchWiz UI atop Android 4.4.4 KitKat, but Samsung teased that they'll be receiving Lollipop in the foreseeable future.

The Samsung Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7 officially unveiled: more affordable alternatives to Galaxy A5 and A7

Hardware-wise, the Samsung Galaxy E7 comes with a 5.5-inch, 720p Super AMOLED display, a quad-core SoC humming at 1.2GHz, 2GB RAM, 16GB on-board storage (a microSD card also made the cut), and a 13MP rear snapper/5MP front-facing selfie one. A hefty 2,950mAh juicer and two SIM card slots can be found aboard as well.

The Samsung Galaxy E5, on the other hand, is a bit more modest - we are dealing with a 5", 720p Super AMOLED display, quad-core chipset running at 1.2GHz, 1.5GB of RAM, 16 gigs of available storage, and an 8MP rear shooter/5MP front-facing one. A 2,400mAh battery, a microSD slot, and two SIM slots also can be found in the bag of features of this new Galaxy.

The smartphones have been priced at 24,900 taka ($320) and 29,900 taka ($385) respectively. Both smartphones comes with standard one year complete warranty.

Samsung lowers Galaxy E5 & E7 price in India

The Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7 were made official in India last month, and Samsung has now dropped the price of both handsets in the country, only a month after they went up for sale. The Galaxy E5 was launched at Rs. 19,300 ($310) but now costs Rs. 17,900 ($288). Meanwhile, the Galaxy E7 price has gone from Rs. 23,000 ($370) to Rs. 20,900 ($336).

The Galaxy E5 and E7 are Samsung's new mid-range dual SIM devices. Although reasonably priced compared to Samsung's older phones, the pricing was still on the higher side compared to the stiff competition from the Chinese vendors in an increasingly competitive market.

Android galaxy E Series Review

The Galaxy E5 comes with a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable internal storage, an 8 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front camera, and a 2,400 mAh battery. The Galaxy E7 has a larger display (5.5-inch), 2GB of RAM, a 13 MP rear camera, and a 2,950 mAh battery. Both devices run Android 4.4 KitKat and come with dual SIM slots, though using two SIM cards means foregoing expandable storage as one slot also doubles up as a microSD slot.

Earlier the Galaxy S4 also saw its price drop heavily in India, though that seems more like a move made in order to clear stocks of the device before the Galaxy S6 arrives in the market.

Samsung Galaxy A3 and A5 is now on sale in Bangladesh

The aluminium body-toting Samsung Galaxy A5 and A3 are now available to buy in the Bangladesh, as Samsung backs improved build quality as a way to reverse a decline in smartphone sales. The two smartphones are available in black, silver, gold and white. The A3 starts on 25,900 taka($330), while the A5 begins at 30,900 taka($400).

Inside the Galaxy A3 you will find a 4.5-inch qHD Super AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 410 with a CPU ticking at 1.2GHz, 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage with the option of microSD expansion, and a non-removable 1900mAh battery.

The Galaxy A5 ups the RAM to 2GB and the battery to 2300mAh, while packing a 5-inch screen of 720p resolution. A better 13MP main camera also comes in the Galaxy A5 over the A3's 8MP shooter.

The two phones follow the design language of the Galaxy Alpha, offering the premium feel of an aluminum frame in a more reasonably-priced package.

Samsung Galaxy A3 and A5 available in US without contract

While Samsung hasn't officially launched the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 in the US through any carriers, smartphone shoppers awaiting Samsung’s mid-range Galaxy A series can now purchase both the Galaxy A3 and the Galaxy A5 off-contract in the U.S. Prices start at $315.99 for the Galaxy A3, while the Galaxy A5 — which is bigger and has better specifications — costs $399.99. Both devices come completely unlocked. That's possible because they're being offered by Expansys, a third party retailer specializing in selling unlocked (SIM-free) units.

Because these are unlocked devices, they're priced accordingly. Also in both cases, you're getting dual-SIM functionality baked in, though as always only one of those slots supports high speed data connectivity. Both phones have 4G LTE, but before you buy make sure to check if your favorite carrier's bands are supported. Information about which bands each smartphone supports is available in their respective listings.

Its 5-inch display boasts a 720p HD resolution, it has 16GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, a 2,300mAh battery, and a 13-megapixel camera. The Galaxy A5 does share the A3’s 1.2GHz processor and 5-megapixel front-facing camera, however.
