LG Electronics Inc. is a South Korean multinational electronics manufacturer known worldwide for its diversified product and amazing quality products. Though they are the little bit slow at the start of new Smartphone era, in 2014 LG successfully turned the table towards them by making some of the best smartphone running Android. After false starts with the Optimus series, LG basically took 2012 off; a sabbatical from the top-tier end of the market to gather its thoughts. LG's standing as potentially the most innovative and improved manufacturer of 2013 is now much more prominent by their LG G3 handset. LG G Flex is the world's first flexible smartphone before Samsung Galaxy Round.



The story of LG mobile is similar in Bangladesh. Their presence was significant in 2G mobile phone era in Bangladesh. After that with the introduction of iPhone and Galaxy they were never to be found in Bangladesh. But in 2014 LG again started selling their products officially in the country. Almost all of their phones is now available in Bangladesh with the 1-year warranty. All the prices mentioned here are with official LG Bangladesh warranty.

LG announces limited edition red and gold versions of G2

The gold-painted LG G2 leaked a couple of days ago, but as it turns out it wasn't the only new color the Korean manufacturer has been working on. The Korean company has launched two new colors for the LG G2, Red and the Gold. The new colors are introduced by LG to commemorate the occasion of Lunar New Year, which is approaching in around 2 weeks.



The limited edition gold and red LG G2 features a textured back cover instead of the usual plastic back cover on the standard G2. The new back is not fingerprint prone and said to offer better grip in your hand.

The red and gold paintjobs of the LG G2 carry the same price tag as the standard models. In Korea, the smartphone costs about $496 for the 16GB model, while the 32GB version is priced at $562. LG's new color additions will go on sale in Singapore, starting from January 18 and the device will be available from Starhub, SingTel and M1 for SGD898 (around $701).



LG G2 comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display, 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean (4.4 KitKat update rolling out), 2GB RAM, 13MP OIS rear camera, 2.1MP front facing camera, 16GB/32GB storage and 3,000 mAh battery.

LG will integrate the Knock feature to L Series II phones

LG first introduced a new set of feature in LG G2 smartphone known as Knock (Previously known as Knock On), which is a combination of gestures allowing users to turn their smartphone on by tapping on its display twice without using the power button. It's sort of a necessary side effect from the power button being on the back of the phone. It proves quite useful later so that LG announced it will bring the Knock feature to the L Series II family of smartphones. Nokia Lumia 1020 has such double-tap to wake feature. The LG G Pad 8.3, LG G Flex and the recently announced LG GX are among the devices already having the functionality.



The second generation LG L Series devices will get update via a global maintenance release. It will be seeded to devices in January 2014.
