All Nokia Android phones are now available in Bangladesh

Nokia has launched its new range of Android smartphones in Bangladesh. The Nokia 3, 5 and 6 will be joining the erstwhile launched 3310 in the market this week. Earlier the company made the announcement at a press meet at the Westin hotel in Dhaka. Three models -- Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 - will be sold at a price range of Tk 12,500 to Tk 22,500, said Sandeep Gupta, regional general manager of Asia Pacific, Thailand and Emerging Asia, at the press conference. At the same time, Nokia 3310 is priced at 4,250.

For those who don’t know, Nokia branded phones are now being sold by HMD Global, which is a Finnish start-up. Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 are the new smartphones, and all three run pure stock Android 7.0 Nougat. On the other hand, Nokia 3310 is a feature phone - it comes with a 2MP camera with LED flash, microSD slot for up to 32 GB of storage and FM radio. You will find a microUSB on the bottom to charge the removable 1200 mAh battery.

You can now buy Lumia 640 in US from Cricket

Cricket Wireless has become the first carrier in the US to start offering the Microsoft Lumia 640. Announced back in March, at the same time with the Lumia 640 XL, the 640 is a mid-range Windows Phone handset that sports a 5-inch 720p display.

The AT&T subsidiary is selling the device (only the cyan version is available) for $130 sans contract, which is a bit steeper than the $89 price tag it was spotted carrying when it made a brief appearance on the US Microsoft Store website last month.

Microsoft 640 price in USA

If you purchase the Lumia 640 before June 30, you'll get a 1-year Office 365 Personal bundle (usually worth $70) for free. It's also worth mentioning that currently running Windows Phone 8.1, the Lumia 640 will be among the first handsets to be officially updated to Windows 10.

The Lumia 640 is powered by a quad-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, which is complemented by 1 GB of RAM. It's got an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash, and a 0.9 MP camera on the front. Other features include LTE connectivity, HERE Maps & Drive, Cortana, 8 GB of expandable storage space, and a 2500 mAh battery.

Microsoft announces two new feature phones - Nokia 215 and 215 dual

Microsoft seems to still have a few Nokia phones up its sleeves (at least feature phones), as the company has announced the affordable Internet-ready Nokia 215 and Nokia 215 Dual SIM. The Redmond giant has revealed that both the Nokia 215 and Nokia 215 Dual SIM will be initially rolled out in Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe in the first quarter. Both the handsets will be available in "select markets" at just $29 before taxes and subsidies.

The Nokia 215 and Nokia 215 Dual SIM share common specifications except that the latter also features dual-SIM support. Both the handsets support Micro-SIM. The Nokia 215 has Opera Mini for general web browsing and handles social networking with the Facebook app and Facebook Messenger, Twitter too. Bing Search and MSN Weather are also on board. Both the handsets sport a 0.3-megapixel fixed-focus camera and run on Series 30+ operating system.

Nokia 215 front selfie camera

All this web access happens over 2G and EDGE (dual band) on a 2.4" QVGA screen (240 x 320px). This is a Series 30+ device so it's a throwback to a bygone era. Additional connectivity includes Bluetooth 3.0 with SLAM (for easy file sharing). There's also FM radio connectivity and the Nokia 215 will last 45 hours. 50 hours if you're playing MP3 audio, there's a microSD card slot supporting 32GB. The 1,100mAh battery is good for 20 hours of talking and 29 days of standby for the single-SIM model. The dual-SIM lasts 21 days.

Nokia 215 and 215 dual will be available in green, black and white versions, and will initially go on sale in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe in the first quarter of 2015. I am sure that both India and Bangladesh will be on the list.

Nokia X might have a 3MP camera, running Android 4.1.2

Another day and another Nokia Android rumor. This time we have update from CamSpeed camera benchmark. They spotted Nokia RM-980 in their database, which is so called Nokia X (Normandy). The Nokia X that did the benchmark was the dual-SIM version and the detected camera was a 3MP fixed-focus shooter. Rumors until now claimed a 5MP camera, meaning they could be wrong or the single and dual-SIM versions have different cameras. A different prototype module can also create some confusion here too.

Android running Nokia phone specifications

The Nokia X ran Android 4.1.2, which will be heavily customized by Nokia surely. Earlier we also saw an Android 4.4 KikKat running Nokia X too! Other specs for the phone include a 4" WVGA screen, dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 4GB storage and a microSD card slot. Unfortunately, there's no info on what kind of video the camera will record. The phone is supposed to launch as an Asha device in March. And we are also sure that the phone will look like an Asha phone.

Nokia Normandy (Nokia X) hits Browsermark database

Another day, another Nokia Android rumor. This times its just more than a rumor, we can easily mark this as a confirmation. Today Nokia X (also known as Nokia Normandy) has entered benchmark database - the one of Browsermark 2. According to the submitted info, Nokia X's model number is RM-980 and its Chrome browser scores 1885.88 on the test.

According to the rumors, Nokia X won't be a Google certified phone, which means no Google Services including the Play Store. Nokia will reportedly provide its own application store, but the users will be able to side load apps, too. This information contradicts the previous leaks by an online retailer where they said that Nokia Android will support all Google services.

Android running Nokia phone specifications

As of now we know some of Nokia X specs too - a 4" WVGA display, dual-core Snapdragon 200 chipset, a 5MP cam, 4GB storage, dual-SIM, six different colors, stripped down Android 4.4 KitKat. It is expected to go official at the Nokia's pre-MWC event in Barcelona next month.

A ghost Nokia Normandy, running Android 4.4 live on a Vietnamese retailer's website

Nokia Normandy rumors are up again. This its more powerful and more obvious. Largest online retailer in Vietnam, The gioididong.com, has posted a listing for the Nokia Normandy. The listing shows an official picture with Nokia's proprietary Android skin we've already seen several times. The specs once again get confirmed too - a 4" WVGA display, a dual-core 1GHz processor (Snapdragon 200 chipset), 512MB RAM, Adreno 302 GPU, a 5MP rear camera with 720p video recording, dual-SIM capabilities and Android 4.4 KitKat. The design is similar to Nokia Asha phones. But there is no price or release date is mentioned on the site.

Nokia Android phone latest News

The retailer also claims the phone will support all Google services including Google Now, Google Play Store and YouTube. In the meantime Eveleaks has given us new information regarding Android running Nokia again. They claim the phone's official name will be Nokia X.

T-Mobile alone sold half of Nokia’s sales in US in Q4 2013

Kantar, a data consultancy company, has released some interesting information about Nokia sales figure in US for the last quarter of 2013. By reading all these we have to say Nokia can give T-Mobile a big hug for helping to sell almost half of total sales alone. Of those 45%, 56% were low-end Lumia phones, most notably the 521. This leaves right around 32% of sales being premium handsets and flagships like the Lumia 925.

According to other Kantar data, only 9 million US residents would choose a Nokia device over others, while 39 million more would at least consider one. In comparison to China where of their over 1 billion mobile users, some 57 million prefer a Nokia handset, while 123 million would consider using one.

Cheap Nokia Lumia on contract

T-Mobile has started out the year strong with its acquisition of the 700MHz A-Block low-band spectrum from Verizon for $3.3 billion, and its agreement with Sony for exclusive sale of the Xperia Z1S - one of the few Sony devices to be offered by a US carrier in quite some time.

Nokia Normandy leaks again, this time with pics running Android KitKat

If I remember correctly I have been writing this type of article over the past 3 years. It’s always nice to hear a Nokia phone running the most popular smartphone OS in the world, Android. We have heard so many rumor regadring a Nokia Android phone over the years. What’s remarkable here is the rumor it not even stopped after Nokia is eaten by giant Microsoft! Today we have new rumor in our plate and it seems the Normandy rumors continue, suggesting the device might come to live against all odds.

Last month we learned the codenamed Normandy device is supposed to be an entry-level Android smartphone under old Nokia management. The new leaks suggested Normandy will be reusing the iconic Lumia design and will come in a plethora of different colors, just like the affordable Asha and Lumia phones.

Today the famous tipster evleaks has posted renders of Normandy running on Android. We get to see a glimpse of Nokia's launcher, particularly the lockscreen, Viber and Skype apps. Judging by the Normandy's status bar, this should be a dual-SIM phone.

When Nokia will release Android Phone

Another leaks from today sheds some more light on the alleged Normandy specs. As it turns out someone has put the Normandy through AnTuTu's test, so we can see some of its specs. Nokia RM-980 A110 codenamed Normandy reported featuring a 4-inch FWVGA display (480x854 pixels), a 5MP rear camera and runs on Android 4.4.1 KitKat. Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU powered the handset to run the test. If Normandy is similar to the previously tipped "Mountain View" Android prototype, then it might be running on the Snapdragon 200 chipset (quad-core Cortex-A5/Adreno 203 or quad-core Cortex-A7/Adreno 302).

Is Nokia making Android phone soon?

Some recent rumors suggest the Normandy development is at "full steam ahead" and the smartphone is supposed to hit the shelves this year. Some go even further saying the team working on Normandy (Project N) will stay at Nokia and continue to work on it alongside other devices like Nokia SmartWatch after Microsoft's acquisition is completed.

Personally I don’t believe any of these rumors. But it is also true that I will be delighted most I am proved wrong later. Maybe there is something going on at Nokia and some of this is happening, but maybe there isn't. In fact there is a good chance somewhere on the way a tiny rumor has completely gone out of control feeding on the hopes of the loyal fans.

Price of all Microsoft (Nokia) Lumia Phones in Bangladesh

Price Last Updated on: 04 October, 2016

Nokia continues to develop quality devices, embedded with stellar camera features and infused with Windows exemplary software. The technology, in the midst of Samsung and Apple, is still a work in progress, but the company is on the right track. Nokia has developed a dedicated following of customers with their expansive phone selections and ever growing tablets. The impressive line of Nokia Lumia phones and tablets continue to produce dominating specs that seem to fall behind the spotlight of Apple and Samsung. The partnership between Nokia and Microsoft rose to a merger that has developed quality items with tech specs that continue to impress. To steal a piece of the Apple spotlight is a mighty feat, but Nokia is a doing an excellent job of making its presence known. The company is doing amazing things.

As Windows Phone-based Lumia devices are still too expensive to appeal to a broad swathe of consumers in developing countries, Nokia introduced their new cheap line of devices, Asha. Nokia hopes to change the low end of the market with the introduction of the Asha series phones. All the Asha phones use an updated version of the user interface than Java one. But their is some confusion in the naming of Asha phones and other multimedia phones. Lets say as example that Nokia 515 is a non Asha phone where Nokia 501, 502 and 503 all are Asha phones. So before buying you have to be sure that you really wants and what are you buying!

Beside Asha Nokia also produces some of its allrounder tough phone till now. They are always the best in class what they are meant to do.

Here in this post i am compiling all the available Nokia phones price so that you can find it easier to choose the device best for you. But price may change time to time depends on various factors. Also don't forget to see about the warranty information, its also one big factor for price difference in different stores.
