HTC unveils Desire Eye, has 13MP selfie camera with dual tone flash

HTC Desire Eye is on the news for quite a while now. And last night after the official announcement in New York we can say that most of them are true. It turns out it's the new Desire flagship. The HTC Desire Eye can be seen as an upgrade over the HTC One (E8). This is an Android smartphone with a whopping 13MP front facing camera — one should be perfect for all those selfies, and we expect to see some cool software to use things to their full potential. Aimed at the internet’s new obsession with selfies, the phone is sure to cater to the younger crowd.

HTC Desire Eye Unlocked Price

That give the Desire Eye a unique face – a much larger than usual front-facing camera is positioned above the screen and it gets a dedicated dual-LED flash and a microphone. It's getting the same treatment as the back camera, which has a dual-LED flash and a microphone too. There's another microphone on the bottom of the device for a total of three microphones used for better audio through noise cancellation. Both cameras can record 1080p@30fps video. The one on the back has an f/2.0 aperture and a 28mm lens, while the one on the front has a wider 20mm lens but a smaller f/2.2 aperture.

The new hardware, which runs Sense 6 under Android 4.4 hood, features specs that are more indicative of the One lineup than the Desire brand, as it offers a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2GB of RAM, IPX7 waterproof rating, a 5.2-inch 1080p display, BoomSound and a 2,400mAh battery.

HTC Desire Eye vs Nokia Pureview

The Desire Eye has 16GB of built-in storage, expandable by microSD cards up to 128GB and two front-facing stereo speakers, a large front-facing camera and a larger screen, the Eye is not the most compact device around, measuring 151.7 x 73.8 x 8.5 mm. The phone also boasts LTE connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, NFC and a microUSB port.

The HTC Desire EYE will be offered by AT&T exclusively at launch. Further availability and pricing details will be available later on. But the rumor says HTC is planning to price it in between its two lineups: The company says the Eye will be priced somewhere between the Desire 820 -- the 64-bit smartphone unveiled last month -- and the E8, which is a plastic version of the M8.

HTC Desire Eye or iPhone 6 Plus

HTC is also giving the camera app itself an overhaul, with their new “EYE Experience” coming preloaded on the device out of the box. The camera software suite features a handful of useful new “selfie” features, like split capture (taking a photo using both front and rear cameras), face tracking for video calls, and even screen capture should you want to share something stored on your device. HTC EYE Experience will roll out to the following models : HTC One (M7), HTC One (M8), HTC One (E8), HTC One mini, HTC One mini 2, HTC One Remix, HTC One Max, HTC Desire 612, and HTC Desire 816 in the coming months.

Then there's the new Zoe. Recent HTC phones came with just a promise for a new app for months on end but the wait is over. The new version offers collaborative video editing and it integrates with RE – HTC's new action camera. Zoe is not completely done even after all this wait, the new content engine will launch later this year.

Smartphones are all the rage, but for those that are still in need of a feature phone in a flip form factor, Samsung and AT&T are gearing up to launch the Rugby 4 on October 10th. Like its predecessor, the Samsung Rugby 4 is a rugged push-to-talk phone. It’s the first in the series to offer Wi-Fi connectivity, and will be sold for $269.99 off-contract, $99.99 with a two-year agreement. But if you are one of business customer who choose an AT&T Enhanced Push-to-Talk rate plan then you only need $.99 to won this handset.

Can i use facebook on Samsung Rugby 4?

The Rugby 4 is dust- and water-resistant (IP67), while also meeting the MIL-STD-810G standard for shock, vibration, temperature, low pressure, high-altitude, and other environmental conditions. AT&T didn’t reveal all the features of the Rugby 4, but we know that the phone comes with an enhanced speakerphone, built-in compass, and turn by turn navigation (requires subscription to AT&T Navigator).

Amazon introduces first ever Fire Phone

After so much speculation and leaks today Amazon has unveiled its first smartphone, building upon its wide expertise in the tablet space. It's called the Amazon Fire Phone and its main selling points are bound to be Amazon's reach in terms of content services, as well as the unique 3D UI dubbed Dynamic Perspective.

The Fire Phone boasts a 4.7-inch IPS 720p touchscreen with 590 nits of brightness, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset with a 2.2 GHz quad-core CPU and Adreno 330 GPU, and 2GB of RAM. It has support for 4G LTE. The handset's frame is made from rubber, and a sheet of Gorilla Glass 3 is present both on its front and on its back. The buttons are made of anodized aluminum.

How Amazon Fire Phone 4 front cameras work?

The rear camera is a 13MP f/2.0 unit with a five-element lens, and it comes with optical image stabilization as well as a dedicated hardware button. Amazon is throwing in free unlimited photo storage in its Cloud Drive.

The Fire Phone has two stereo speakers on the front with virtual surround sound. The earbuds that come in the box have a tangle-free cable and they snap to each other thanks to built-in magnets.
The Amazon Fire Phone runs Fire OS 3.5, which seems to be the same OS used on the Kindle Fire line of tablets. It's based on Android but lacks any of the Google's services.

This much talked about feature changes what's depicted on the screen depending on where you are in relation to the phone. It accomplishes this by tracking your eyes with four specialized cameras that are located in the front corners of the handset.

Dynamic Perspective ties in nicely with tilt gestures that allow you to initiate actions by simply moving the phone. For example, you can tilt the device to scroll inside the browser, something eerily reminiscent of Samsung's Smart Scroll feature. And the same thing works inside ebooks, and even games.

Amazon's first smartphone is exclusive to AT&T in the US. You can already pre-order it from Amazon, and it will be shipping on July 25. The commitment free price is $649. With a contract, the base 32GB Fire Phone would cost you $199 along with a new two-year contract with AT&T. Or you can choose the carrier's Next plans and pay $27 per month for the device. A 64GB option is available for $299.

Update as of 13 September 2014: 32GB 2 years contract price is now zero with $449 contract free option as well. For 64GB these would be zero and $549.

AT&T unveils Samsung Galaxy S5 Active with MIL-810G specs

We knew it existed but now it's finally crawled out of some jungle to go official. Samsung's Galaxy S5 Active is available today on AT&T and something compared to flagship devices, this time it looks like no notable corners were cut. The body is water, dust and shockproof with its IP67 and MIL-spec 810G certification. The standard Galaxy S5 was already two of those things but some people will definitely appreciate the extra peace of mind that comes from a ruggedized phone.

The Galaxy S5 Active has the same full-HD AMOLED 5.1-inch screen, while the 16-megapixel camera and fingerprint sensor are also lodged into the rugged smartphone. That said, water-resistance is now part of the original GS5's bag of tricks, which makes it less of selling point here. Regardless, there's the shock-resistant dust-proof shell and a burlier look: even if it's dreamy rendered view we're seeing here, the metallic details and finish could well win over Galaxy fans that aren't pro-plastic -- we're a little intrigued to see it IRL.

How tough Samsung Galaxy S5 Active is?

Unlike the S4 Active, the S5 comes with fewer compromises compared to the standard S5. The only major feature missing is the fingerprint sensor in the home button, which wasn't all that great to begin with. Rest of the specifications remain identical. The S5 Active also has an extra button on the side for 'Activity Zone', a single place for all your outdoor activity related features.

The Galaxy S5 Active is available from AT&T in the US for $200 on a two-year contract, or for $715 contract-free. If you buy the phone you also get a 50% discount on the Gear Fit. The phone is available in Camo Green, Titanium Grey and Ruby Red.

AT&T now offering the Glacial Silver HTC One M8

HTC One M8 was launched more than one month ago across all the major US carriers. AT&T is no different. But today the have managed to offer a new color variant to their customers - Glacial Silver. Previous two color options - Gunmetal Grey or Amber Gold color are available too.

AT&T is offering the new color variant same $199.99 price tag with a new two-year contract. If you are using the carrier's Next 12 plan, then you can purchase the smartphone for a monthly fee of $32 for 20 months. For those AT&T consumers on the Next 18 plan, the device will cost $24.62 for the next 26 months. You can also buy the unlocked retail unit of HTC One M8, which will cost you $640 at once.

The increasingly popular monthly installment payment options are also certain to be available. LG G Flex coming to AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint soon

The LG G Flex is certainly an attention-grabbing device but US users couldn’t get it – until now. LG has partnered with three US carriers - AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint to bring the unique phablet to a new market. They'll be releasing the G Flex some time in Q1. The Vice President of Sprint, David Owens, came on stage to share that he's been using the phablet recently and said it drew tons of attention.

Unfortunately, Owens fdidn't mention the price of the LG G Flex, saying only that it will support Sprint's LTE Network, Spark, offering no more details about the launch. Now we're waiting for the three carriers to announce the pre-order. For now, you can just sign up to be notified for updates.

AT&T offers you up to $450 if you give up your T-Mobile Line

AT&T is starting a bold strategy on T-Mobile today, offering users up to $450 per line if they drop their present T-Mobile connection. Here is the procedure - First, you can get $200 credit if you switch from a T-Mobile contract to AT&T's Next plan, activate a device you own or buy a new one at full retail price. Second if you're getting a new device, you might also trade in your old one for up to $250. The carrier doesn’t say exactly which devices qualify, the exact amount you get will depend on the make, model and condition of the device.

AT&T will give T-Mobile users up to $450 if they switch

If you opt out of trading and decide to keep your old device, you'll only get the $200 for switching carriers. So reaching the full $450 may be difficult, but it's still a very salient – and aggressive – offer from the bigger carrier. Keep in mind that these dollar amounts will be in the form of promotion cards, which can be used to buy eligible products from AT&T (phones included) or pay your bills with the carrier.

T-Mobile is said to unveil a similar deal for users switching away from other carriers, so this might a preemptive strike from AT&T. Read the source link to know more directly from AT&T.

Compare Samsung Galaxy Note 3 offers from all US operators

There's no stopping for Samsung in 2013 either with their new Galaxy Note 3. As you may heard that Samsung sold 10 million of Galaxy Note 3 in just 2 months. Considering that Note 3 is a niche device, its price is premium and its competing with new iPhone 5S and 5C. So before Christmas it would be great for you if i can cover everything about Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in US market.

Almost all the major operators offer this powerful beast with 2-year contract and contract free price. T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint all are present on the list of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 sellers. In this article you can take a look on all the prices and contracts. I don’t bother you with the specification of offering details because I know that you it already. Just one thing, all the models are 4G LTE supported. And Amazon offer for any handset is always more attractive than the operator itself. So it is worth visiting the Amazon link as well. So let’s start.

where can i buy sim free galaxy note 3 in los angeles

Operator: Verizon
2-yr Contract Price: $299.99
Minimum Monthly Rate: $29.31 for 2 years
Contract Free Price: $699.99
Gift: $100 less if you buy Galaxy Gear
Available Color: Black and White
Official Verizon Page
Amazon Contract price: $169.99
Amazon Contract Free Price: $779.99
Link to Verizon Galaxy Note 3 on Amazon

So it look like you can save $130 by going with Amazon if your decided to buy Samsung Galaxy Note 3 instead of Verizon shop. So thats a great deal. But contract free pricing of Amazon is not as good as Verizon itself.

Operator: AT&T
2-yr Contract Price: $299.99
Next 12 Installment: $36.25 for 20 months
Next 18 Installment: $27.88 for 26 months
Contract Free Price: $724.99
Gift: Special discount on Samsung Galaxy Tab 3/ Galaxy Note/ Galaxy Tab 2
Available Color: Black and White
Official AT&T Page
Amazon Contract price: $199.99
Amazon Contract Free Price: $789.99
Link to AT&T Galaxy Note 3 on Amazon

Again you can save $100 if you buy the smartphone from Amazon in contract. Contract free price is not favorable so i suggest you to stick with AT&T for that deal.

Operator: Sprint
2-yr Contract Price: $199.99
Minimum Monthly Rate: $49.99 for 2 years
Contract Free Price: $799.99
Gift: None
Available Color: Black and White
Official Sprint Page
Amazon Contract price: $149.99
Amazon Contract Free Price: $779.99
Link to Sprint Galaxy Note 3 on Amazon

Operator: T-Mobile
2-yr Contract Price: $99.99
Minimum Monthly Rate: $25 for 2 years
Contract Free Price: $699.99
Gift: Bluetooth headset ($40 value)
Available Color: Black and White
Official T-Mobile Page

So one thing is sure when your are talking about Samsung galaxy Note 3. Nobody yet decide to sell it cheaply. That’s why it would be wise to view all the available offers from different online stores and shops. You may save few bucks by doing this. And we can assume that the possibility is slim to price cut before Samsung Galaxy S5 release.

AT&T might also getting HTC One max on their lineup

Courtesy of a reliable source evleaks, we just saw a couple of HTC One Max press renders showing AT&T branding in Twitter. It suggests that the phablet might be available to 3 US carriers as Verizon and Sprint confirmed the news earlier. If the rumor turns out to be the case, the phablet will likely join AT&T’s already impressive smartphone lineup before the holiday shopping season kicks off. It will join the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the LG Optimus G Pro as an alternative for those looking for a large-screen device.
The AT&T One max that's shown in this leaked shot appears to be fairly similar to its international sibling. AT&T has added a couple of its own touches to the phone, though, including adding its name to the status bar as well as its 4G LTE logo. HTC didn’t say anything about an AT&T HTC One model either, but considering that the HTC One is available from Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile, it would make sense to see quite a few of these carriers also pick up the HTC One Max in the coming months.

Apple may try hard and harder every day to keep Samsung out of US but we are sure that they will fail successfully on that. Samsung is just getting stronger every day in US. Sony first show Xperia Ion at CES 2012 six months ago. But they released it only on June. That’s the main reason behind Sony’s very competitive price. AT&T asks only $99.99 for the smartphone. Sony selling the Xperia Ion even cheaper, they are offering ion only at $49.99 with a two-year contract.
