Entry level Samsung Galaxy Ace Style is announced

After the announcement of new Galaxy Ace device in Germany last week Samsung won’t hesitate to announce the device globally a few hours go. The Galaxy Ace Style is an entry level Android device aimed at the younger audience. The phone is said to have a "a fun, unique design with an enhanced camera and advanced features for superior performance", I don’t have any idea what is the meaning of that.

The dual core 1.2GHz device has a 4-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB internal memory, 5 MP camera at the back, VGA shooter at the front, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and a 1500 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy Ace Style Price

While the hardware of the device isn't fantastic, Samsung states that the Ace Style is “designed to support and power young social consumers.” The device will likely be available in both single- and dual-SIM configurations and will come with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

The Samsung Galaxy ACE Style will be available globally in April in Cream White and Dark Gray colors. The price hasn't been officially announced yet, but it’s safe to guess it will cost around $250.

Sony unveils affordable quad-core Xperia M2 at MWC

The Sony Xperia M2 is the cheapest phone in Sony's Android line-up to offer a look that's pretty high-end. Sony's mid-ranges phones are pretty popular, and this one offers some pretty significant design upgrades that – on first impression – make it pretty close in some surface respects to the Sony Xperia Z2. Sony Xperia M2 comes with a 4.8" TFT display with 540x960 pixels resolution. It is powered by a Snapdragon 400 chipset with a quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 processor, Adreno 305 GPU, 2300mAH battery and 1GB of RAM. There is also 8GB internal memory, expandable with a microSD slot.

Price of Contract less Sony Xperia M2

Xperia M2 features an 8MP camera with Sony's Exmor RS sensor. It has a single-LED flash and is capable of 1080p video recording. Sony Xperia M2 runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, but there is nothing mentioned on an upcoming update. Hopefully, Sony will treat it with KitKat soon after launch. The connectivity department of the Sony Xperia M2 offers 3G with HSPA, GPS with GLONASS, NFC, Wi-Fi with DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0 and FM radio.

Sony Xperia M2 vs Samsung Galaxy Grand 2

Sony will also offer a dual-SIM variant of the Xperia M2, letting users have two simultaneous, always active SIM cards with custom ring tones. Sony has yet to say exactly how much it will be, but I expect it to sit somewhere around the $400 mark. It's due to hit stores in the UK in "spring", although Sony also hasn't announced if it will be available in the US.

Sony announces mid-range Xperia T2 Ultra Phablet

Along with WALKMAN family Xperia E1 announcement, Sony made another Android presentation today. This one is a mid-range 6.0 inch phablet, the Xperia T2 Ultra. Sony designed it specifically for Asian and African markets where big screen smartphones are all the rage and will compete against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Mega.

The Xperia T2 Ultra has a 6.0-inch, 1280x720 resolution display with TRILUMINOS, Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 and other fancy words Sony likes to use for displays that are often underwhelming. There is a 13 megapixel Exmor RS camera on the back and a 1.1 megapixel Exmor R camera on the front.

Price of unlocked Sony Xperia T2 Ultra

On the inside, the Xperia T2 Ultra has a quad-core Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.4GHz, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage space expandable with microSD cards. Another nice addition of Xperia T2 Ultra is it’s 13MP back camera with HDR and image stabilization. 1080p video recording is certainly there with 1.1MP front camera. Android 4.3 is there inside the T2 Ultra. Powering all this is a large 3,000mAh battery with Sony's Battery STAMINA mode.

Sony Xperia T2 Ultra price in us with monthly plan

The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra will be available in two variants, the single SIM T2 Ultra and the dual-SIM T2 Ultra dual, in black, white and purple. As always we have no price and release date in our hand. But I guess any price beyond $400 mark will make people think twice before buying this phablet. Read the PR to know more about Xperia T2 Ultra.

Update: Sony Xperia T2 Ultra will be priced $550 (15.04.14)

Introducing Xperia™ T2 Ultra and Xperia™ T2 Ultra dual – the large screen smartphones for entertainment on-the-go

14th January 2014, London, UK – Sony Mobile Communications (“Sony Mobile”) today introduces Xperia T2 Ultra, the next evolution in large-screen smartphone design. Designed specifically with customers from emerging markets in China, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia Pacific rim in mind, Xperia T2 Ultra brings together the best of Sony’s imaging and display technologies with ground-breaking design efficiency to produce a stunning LTE3 Android smartphone at a mid-range price point.

“Xperia T2 Ultra will lead the category through its combination of advanced display and camera technologies, it will bring large-screen entertainment in an amazingly portable form factor and it will do it all whilst providing incredible value for money,” said Calum MacDougall, Director of Xperia Marketing at Sony Mobile Communications. “Its large HD display will deliver big screen entertainment on the go whilst the efficiency of the design will allow it to remain the worlds most portable large screen smartphone.”

Incredible entertainment with you all the time
Sony’s entertainment divisions have been delivering some of the world’s greatest entertainment content for decades and with Xperia T2 Ultra these experiences will be more integrated than ever before. Sony’s latest Album, WalkmanTM and Movies apps will integrate out-of-the-box with cloud services to provide easy access to fantastic entertainment. For users in most Asia Pacific markets this will mean out-of-the-box integration with the Sony Entertainment Network as well as Sony’s PlayMemories Online storage service, whilst in China users will have access to an exclusive Sony movies channel via Sohu and the Sony Zone, a 320Kbps high quality streaming MP3 service.

To make the most of the movies and songs, whilst ensuring that users need never be parted from them, Xperia T2 Ultra combines a number of key design features to perfectly balance the need for a large screen with portability and battery endurance.

Xperia T2 Ultra’s stunning 6” HD TRILUMINOS display extends to within 2.5 mm of the phone’s edges. This means that it has a screen to phone size ratio of 73.6%, both making the most of the space available and ensuring that the phone is no wider than a standard credit card. It is also both slim (7.6 mm) and light (weighing only 173 ± 1g depending on variant differences), fitting easily in a jacket pocket.

Big, bright screens can often use a lot of power, but that’s not a problem with Xperia T2 Ultra, Sony has ensured that it is ready to go the distance by incorporating a battery-efficient processor and massive 3000 mAh battery, coupled with Sony’s unique Battery STAMINA Mode that automatically turns off functions to save power when you don’t need them and restarts them when you do.

Sony’s innovative smart social camera
Xperia T2 Ultra features a 13 megapixel camera, the best in it’s class2, that brings together the best of Sony’s digital imaging technology to allow users to capture incredible images, and, coupled with Sony’s new smart social camera ecosystem, smartphone photography can go far beyond the traditional snapshot.

The smart social camera system allows developers to create camera add-ons that extend functionality and re-define the role of the camera. Apps available at launch will include:
  • Portrait Retouch: Turn Xperia T2 Ultra into a virtual mirror and experiment with make-up effects before snapping the perfect self-portrait
  • Collage: Allows you to drop images directly into creative photo collages by changing formats, layouts and backgrounds
  • Background defocus: Create stunning images full of depth by separating foreground elements and burring the background
  • Timeshift burst: Ensures you get the perfect photo every time by taking 31 photos within two seconds, both before and after you press the shutter. You can then scroll through them afterwards to select the perfect shot.
  • Sweep Panorama: Snap amazing and seamless panoramas easily. Take a snap then sweep the phone in a direction you set to capture wide-angle panoramas.
These will feature alongside a growing number of third party applications available through the Sony Select app store and accessible directly from the camera app on Xperia T2 Ultra. Already the smart social camera includes apps for services like Evernote and Sphere with many more launching in the coming months.

Xperia T2 Ultra at the heart of a connected ecosystem
With one-touch functions users can instantly and easily share music, photos and videos and movies from Xperia T2 Ultra with a wide range of NFC-enabled Sony devices, including speakers, SmartWatch, wireless headsets and TVs.

The SBH52 is a dynamic Smart Bluetooth™ Handset that provides easy hands-free call handling with a single press, while leaving your smartphone conveniently in your bag. It also provides you with stereo sound while enjoying movies on the Xperia T2 Ultra. The OLED display conveniently lets you browse your call log, view text messages, and see who’s calling you. And with a sleek, minimal and splash-proof design you can now use it anywhere, in any weather. Use it as a quality stereo music headset to listen to music or to the built-in standalone FM radio with RDS. Pairing and connecting is achieved simply by touching it to the back of Xperia T2 Ultra or other NFC-enabled device. The smart flip case – SCR14 doesn’t only protect your screen from scratching but can also serve as a holding stand for when you’re watching movies or using video chat. Moreover, its smart sensors will automatically wake up your Xperia T2 Ultra as soon as you open the cover!

Dual SIM, no compromise
Xperia T2 Ultra dual variant offers a new experience through the incorporation of Sony’s latest generation of dual SIM mobile technology. Users can set up both SIM cards independently with custom ring tones and one-touch switching between SIMs before making calls or sending texts. Sony’s dual SIM management technology means that users can keep both SIMs active, never missing a call, even whilst talking on one of them.

Samsung Galaxy S Duos is now available in Bangladesh for 27000 taka

Samsung Galaxy S Duos is one of the best mid range Android dual SIM phone available. The phone comes with Android 4.0 ICS, upgradable to 4.1 Jelly Bean. It has a reasonable 1 GHz Processor and Adreno 200 GPU for gaming. Samsung has started shipping of this phone with an improved 768 MB RAM which improves the performance of the phone. But there is only 4GB of internal storage space with 32GB memory card slot.

The 4 inches Touch screen is quite responsive, but pixel density of 480 x 800 could have been improved. The 5 MP rear camera is a good performer but VGA secondary camera might disappoint some. The phone has good talk time of 13 Hours, Wi-Fi hotspot and 3G speed of HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps.
Samsung galaxy s duos review with drawbacks
If you wanna taste Android smartphone with two of your SIMs at the same time then Galaxy S Duos S7562 is your smart choice. This phone is already available in Bangladesh with two years of warranty service provided by Samsung. Their asking price is 27000 taka($330). If you want to save some of your money then you can choose the warranty less version, which cost 23000 taka($280).

Sony Xperia tipo is now in Bangladesh for 17000 taka

The Sony Xperia Tipo is the latest addition to the Xperia smartphone range, and it's undoubtedly makes many people happier. Because its price starts from $160 and there is also a dual SIM model of Xperia tipo is also available. Sony Xperia tipo comes with an 800MHz single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 2.5GB of internal storage, a 3.2MP camera and a 3.2-inch 320 x 480 display. It measures just 103 x 57 x 13mm and so fits neatly in a pocket. It weighs only 99.4 grams.

The Tipo will appeal to people on a budget who want to grab a more up-to-date version of Android than can be found on the majority of budget droids. It runs Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich. Xperia tipo is one of very few handsets at around this price point that currently runs Android 4.0.
Sony Xperia tipo review
Sony Xperia tio is now available in Bangladesh just for 17000 taka ($207). And if you are willing to buy the dual SIM version they you have to 18000 taka ($220). But interestingly Amazon is offering factory unlocked Sony Xperia tipo dualat a higher price of $270. Check that out if you wish to.

Galaxy Pocket Duos is the cheapest Dual-SIM Droid by Samsung

Samsung is the only front runner company regularly releasing dual SIM Android phones for various markets. And things are becoming much easier for you to choose when Samsung announced that a duos version of Android Galaxy Pocket will be available soon. And like the original Pocket, Pocket Duos will be the cheapest dual SIM Android phone in market. The Samsung Galaxy Pocket Duos has a 2.8-inch QVGA display of 320 X 240 as usual, which we hate most. It has a 832MHz single core CPU with 2GB internal memory running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. There’s only a MP snapper covers the back of Galaxy Pocket.
Samsung Galaxy Pocket Duos release date
Samsung Galaxy Pocket Duos has a 1200mAh battery which Samsung says is good for 15 hours of talk-time in 2G and 6 hours in 3G. The pricing and availability of the Galaxy Pocket Duos are yet to be confirmed. But my assumption is that Samsung Galaxy Pocket Duos price will be around $120-$130 when released.

It runs by Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is not possible to this set because of its low specs. The user-available on-board storage space is supposedly 3GB with a microSD slot. The battery on this one is mere 1,300 mAh. The new dual SIM variety of the Galaxy Ace Duos is as slim as the original Galaxy Ace and it's less than 10g heavier.

Need an affordable dual-SIM Android? Alcatel Blaze Duo is for you

It’s being almost a year I wrote about a dual-SIM Android mobile phone. Because there’s really nothing to write about. Now I have one from Alcatel. They already made a good number of entry level affordable Android phones, now they have one dual-SIM, dual-standby device- Alcatel Blaze Duo OT-918. It’s a cheap Android phone running Android 2.3 Gingerbread with a 650MHz processor + 256MB RAM. The screen is a 3.2" LCD with HVGA resolution, and there's also a 3MP camera, A-GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and A-GPS to complete the pack.

The Alcatel Blaze Duo phones pack two SIM cards in an interesting way. Both SIMs go in the same slot, just the first one goes face down and the second one goes face up. You can use 2 normal size SIM in this slot. There are two different variants of Alcatel Blaze Duo. The OT-918N uses 850MHz/2100MHz for its 3G connectivity, while the OT-918D version uses 900MHz/2100MHz instead. It totally depends on your region. So you have nothing to worry about.
dual sim card smartphones
The Blaze Duo OT-918N is available right now in the Philippines 6000 Philippine pesos (about $140/€105). The 918D is available in Australia for $179. There's no complete information on availability elsewhere. Keep in mind that there's a single-SIM version of the phone called just OT-918, so don’t be confused.
