Verizon releasing HTC Desire 612 with XLTE and BoomSound Audio

Verizon is preparing to bring 4G LTE aka XLTE with the addition of BoomSound in mid-level HTC Desire 612 on 9th of October. Its almost identical to AT&T HTC Desire 610 except the screen resolution is bumbped to 720p from qHD. The Desire 612 packs a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 8GB of built-in storage, microSD card support, an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash, a 1.3 MP front-facing snapper, dual front-facing stereo speakers, and a 2,040 mAh battery.



The phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat and has support for Verizon's XLTE network for fast data speeds. The Desire 612 will be free with a new two-year contract from the carrier. You'll also be able to get it using Verizon's Edge installment plan, if you qualify. And for a limited time, customers who activate or upgrade to a new smartphone on The MORE Everything Plans with at least 1 GB of data will get an extra 1 GB of bonus data per month for up to 24 months, as long as that smartphone remains active on The MORE Everything Plan.

You can buy Samsung Galaxy Alpha in UK now

Popular UK online retailer Carphone Warehouse has today confirmed the Samsung Galaxy Alpha is now available both in-store and online from £33($54) a month on supporting networks with no upfront fee. The 4.7-inch smartphone from Samsung is an interesting departure from its usual design, utilizing metals and other components. Samsung Galaxy Alpha is currently available in black and white, but on October 3 you'll also get to choose from two additional hues: silver and blue, which is being exclusive to Carphone Warehouse).



If you'd rather go the SIM-free route, for now your only choice seems to be Unlocked Mobiles. This retailer is asking for £499.87 ($810) for a Samsung Galaxy Alpha sans any operator commitments. Clove and Expansys are also going to offer it in SIM-free form, but it's still unclear when.

You can also get exclusive gold Galaxy Alpha in the UK by Phones 4u. Although you can currently order one from this retailer's website, it's unclear if it's already in stock or not. Verizon are dealing very aggressively with their Samsung Galaxy Galaxy Nexus for a while. Its available without any contract just for $350 for the last few weeks. It’s from a little known brand named Vivacity, available today for as little as free of charge on a £10 per month deal or £99 on pay as you go. Verizon announces Android running Samsung Illusion free on contract

6. Without rooting no Bluetooth file transfers are possible.
7. Full file manager feature are not here in HTC Hero.

So now the time to make our final decision for HTC Hero. Now a days you must have many other options. Android 2.2 is the industry standard now. But when it comes to price comparison htc hero is become harder to reject. It is surely one the very fast devices which deployed Android OS to mobile successfully.
