Samsung Galaxy Note landed on US soils few months ago and doing great with AT&T network. Now its time for T-Mobile guys to give it to their customers.

But you will be very happy to know that this Note comes with the best OS as built-in.
The T-Mobile version comes running ICS out of box and is also SAFE-certified It means it has a full suite of enterprise-ready features and capabilities, including support for top-tier mobile device management (MDM) providers, on-device AES256-bit encryption, enhanced support for Microsoft Exchange, as well as integrated support for a range of virtual private network (VPN) solutions.

Samsung already ships 2 million Galaxy Notes

Personally I was not sure about Samsung Galaxy Note’s future. My prediction was against it. But it all turns out well for Samsung. The first million mark was passed in just two months after the launch of the device and now two months later since that event, the Galaxy Note has crossed the 2 million mark. It means Samsung shipped 2 million 5.3-inches Galaxy Note worldwide within 4 months. It really quite impressive!

Obviously these are not the actual sales but merely the number of devices that have been shipped till date. In comparison, however, Samsung managed to ship over 10 million Galaxy S II in the first five months.

However, Samsung has much higher expectations from the Galaxy Note. Talking to Forbes, it has revealed that it intends to ship another 10 million units before the end 2012. But once again I bet against Samsung despite of their win this time.

Samsung Galaxy Note and Galaxy S II will receive ICS in March

The development of the Android 4.0 update Ice Cream Sandwich to the Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note is obviously progressing according to schedule. The Norwegian branch of the South Korean company has just confirmed that the update is due to arrive later this quarter, which means that there are only a couple of months left before the wait is over.

The Ice Cream Sandwich update will bring a lot of new features to the Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note, including a new task manager, better browser notification manager and greatly improved both in terms of functionality and performance.

Since then several new ICS ROMs appeared for the Galaxy S II and show that the Samsung R&D engineers are actually moving very quickly. If you want to take the ROM for a ride and you know what you are doing then you can download the necessary files from this link.

Samsung already shipped 1 million Galaxy Note

Samsung Galaxy Note is the only device in its class, a hybrid of smartphone and tablet running Android. Samsung released it only two months ago and already reached the dream number of 1 million. I called it dream number because of two facts. Galaxy Note is not available everywhere yet and it is a pricy gadget, not everyone can afford it. In fact it is not released in US so far. The number of units shipped is always more substantial than the number devices out there in end-users' hands, but it always reflects the people’s demand for the gadget.

Samsung Electronics Ships over 1 Million Units of Galaxy Note Globally

Samsung's flagship smart device Galaxy Note has reached 1 million global shipping.

Samsung Electronics said on the 29th that it has shipped more than 1 million units of Galaxy Note globally. The worldwide sales of Galaxy Note are also on the rise in Europe and Asia including France, Germany, Hongkong and Taiwan. The rapid global sales of Galaxy Note are notable since it is creating a new market for something between smartphone and tablet pc. The speed of the global sales is expected to accelerate further next year when it will be available in the US.

Recently, Financial Times reviewed highly of Galaxy Note, commenting it as"a happy medium for consumers who want to carry just one device, rather than both a smartphone and a tablet and whatever other portable gadget they pick up on their way out".

A Samsung official also said "1 million global shipping of Galaxy Note means it has well positioned itself as a market creator," also adding "Samsung will continuously strengthen its leadership in the global smartphone market as well as create new markets with innovative devices."

GSMArena tests Samsung Galaxy Note battery life- we have mixture feelings

Samsung’s new Phone or Tablet smart device, Samsung Galaxy Nexus is just tested by GSMArena teams. They tested its huge 2500 mAh battery under there standard procedure. Because Galaxy Note has a 5.3-inch screen with some very powerful hardware inside, it uses a lot of juice to run. The Samsung Galaxy Note’s performance was quite unusual. While it got a monstrous score on the telephony part, its web browsing endurance were quite disappointing.
can i use samsung galaxy note 1 day on one single charge?
The Samsung Galaxy Note turned out the best performer when you are talking. It has 12 hours and 47 minutes of 3G talk time on a single charge. The result wasn’t that surprising though – with the screen turned off, the power consumption of the Galaxy Note isn’t higher than that of the average smartphone, but the battery is much larger here.

Next they tested the web browsing time. The Note managed just 3 hours and 35 minutes of continuous browsing, which some way off the standard is set by the iPhone 4S and Nokia N9. As most of the web pages are predominantly white, the 5.3″ screen turned into a power-leeching beast that’s hard to feed. So it is the stage of the Galaxy Note’s worst performance.

The great power hunger is also partially due to the GPU-acceleration of the browser. If you are willing to trade the stock browser for one of the alternatives found on the Android Market you would see worse performance, but slightly better battery life. When they tested it with Opera Mobile then the Galaxy Note lasted for 4 hours.

The Samsung Galaxy Note restored some of its pride in the last challenge – the video playback test. It used 90% of its battery after 8 hours and 25 minutes of looping the SD Xvid video. It’s not bad result for a 5.3-inch display runner.

Finally, and most importantly the Samsung Galaxy Note got an endurance rating of 39, which means that you will have to be plug it in every 39 hours if you do 1 hour of using the stock web browser, 3G calls and video playback every day. It is now quite as impressive as the 45 hours achieved by the iPhone 4S.

Thanks to GSMArena.com for their detailed Samsung Galaxy Note battery test. It will definitely help a lot of people to buy Galaxy Note or not.

If you are interested to buy new Samsung Galaxy Note then Amazon can help you to save your money. They are offering unlocked Galaxy Note only for $543 which is almost $357 less than others. Moreover its the unlocked international version of the Galaxy Note.

Samsung also announced that there will be a white version of the Galaxy Note, complete with a white S Pen. The company will also be releasing a bunch of nice accessories for the Note, including a cool-looking leather carrying case. Samsung mentioned that it will be releasing the S Pen SDK to developers in December so we should be seeing more apps that interact with the S Pen at the start of 2012.

And Samsung Galaxy Nexus will begin its roll-out on November 17 in Europe and then move on to global availability. You can pre-order it on Amazon UK now.

Phone or Tablet? Galaxy Note ad will confuse you again

As the Samsung Galaxy Note release date is coming near to us, they try to make you more confused again. The 30-second promo focuses on that huge HD Super AMOLED and all the benefits of the S Pen. And at the end it will ask- is it tablet or phone? In this commercial, they showcase how someone can extend a photo using a capacitive stylus and their imagination. They also show you can outline anything in a photo and cut it out then paste it into a different photo.

UK receive Samsung Galaxy Note on November, costs $773

I don’t imagine where is the position of Samsung Galaxy Note on people’s interest. You can call it a giant smartphone or small tablet as you wish. We just got an unofficial UK launch date of Galaxy Note via an online retailer, Clove. They said that Samsung Galaxy Note will be launching at the end of November. They also mentioned an approximate price of £500 ($773) + VAT for the Galaxy Note. Price seems much lower than we heard earlier.

Even if you are not in the UK, you will probably get the Galaxy Note around the same time. Except if you're in the US. Looking at how long it took for the Galaxy S II to get there, we're not sure if you'll be getting it at the same time as the rest of the world.

Samsung Galaxy Note tops on benchmark sheet, same for price tag too

Samsung Galaxy Note is one of the most impressive devices shown in IFA 2011. Now we found another significant point of Galaxy Note. Techblog.gr managed to run the Quadrant benchmark on a unit at the IFA and got some impressive scores. The Galaxy Note managed to snag a score of 3,624. To put that figure into perspective, the Galaxy S II with a 1.2GHz processor achieved 3,538 in our tests. One must also remember that along with a faster processor, the Galaxy Note also has a 1280 x 800 resolution display, with nearly 2.5 times the number of pixels on the Galaxy S II's display. Also, the Galaxy Note at the IFA are probably pre-production units and the scores could improve later on. This means you can expect some pretty solid performance from the Galaxy Note when it launches by the end of the year.
Samsung galaxy note release date
But you will be very much disappointed to hear the price. Samsung has announced the price for the Scandinavian countries and it doesn't look good. The Galaxy Note will be sold in Denmark in November for 5,600 Danish krone, which is approximately $1,066 (€750). Meanwhile, Norway will be getting it for 5,700 Norwegian krone ($1,052, €742), Sweden will get it for 6,000 Swedish krona ($929, €655) and Finland will get it for €799 ($1,133).

That price takes the Galaxy Note beyond the realm of smartphones and into tablet territory. In fact it is more expensive than even the most expensive iPad 2 ($829), which is where the problem comes in as the Galaxy Note cannot match full-fledged tablets like the iPad 2 or the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in terms of screen real estate. It will already be alienating smartphone buyers looking for something more compact. And now with a price like this, it remains to be seen who and how many will actually buy this device.

A new type of Smartphone: Samsung Galaxy Note- Smartphone, Tablet, notepad, Planner, Game

At IFA along with Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, Samsung announced a new hybrid device- Galaxy Note. It has a 1280 x 800 pixels 5.3’’ Super AMOLED Plus display. You can't make up its mind - is it a tablet or a phone? Well Samsung says it is Both - it has a 5.3" screen but also full telephony features. Samsung says it is a tablet, a mobile, a notepad, a planner and a gaming device.

The Galaxy Note comes with a stylus, the S Pen that works with dedicated apps-S Planner, S Memo, etc. There is a native calendar and to-do list app, from which you can drag and drop appointments, changing time slots without having to open an entry. S Memo for note-taking, meanwhile, accepts voice, photo, text and handwritten input. We also got a quick glimpse of Virtual Whiteboard, a more collaborative form of note-taking. On top of that, Samsung says it's releasing the S Pen SDK to third-party developers, and the company's banking on more apps for organizing photos and drawing, among other things.

Now time for the hardware part. Galaxy Note Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread (indicating heart of the Note is a mobile, not tablet not supporting Honeycomb) on the same beefed up Exynos chipset as the Tab 7.7 (dual-core 1.4GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, Mali-400MP GPU). However, its camera is much better at 8MP with 1080p video recording. The Galaxy Note measures 9.65mm of thickness and 178 grams of weight. It's battery is 2,500mAh.
samsung galaxy note release date in us
We are still in dark about the price and release date. Samsung releases a video and obviously a press release for Galaxy Note. These follows after the line break.

Samsung writes the next chapter of the mobile industry with the Samsung GALAXY Note

GALAXY Note combines the market's largest HD Super AMOLED display, supreme portability and advanced S Pen interface, creating a new type of smartphone

BERLIN, Germany - September 1, 2011 - Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, announced today the launch of the GALAXY Note.

The GALAXY Note is a new category of product, developed through Samsung's deep consumer understanding and insight. It combines core on-the-go benefits of various mobile devices while maintaining smartphone portability, to create a whole new user experience.

The GALAXY Note has a 5.3" display which is the largest screen size with smartphone portability. It features the world's first and the largest 5.3" HD Super AMOLED display, an expansive high-resolution screen that provides an immersive viewing experience. Taking full advantage of the large display, users will be able to do more tasks to create and consume more, with minimum scrolling and screen transitions, while on the go. An advanced pen-input technology, called the S Pen, is combined with the GALAXY Note's full touch screen to introduce a new type of user-experience. Through this, consumers are able to freely capture and create ideas while on the go.

"The GALAXY Note is a device borne of our insight and innovation. We examined the fundamental elements of mobile culture, entertainment and communication in order to bring together the best experiences in a single, elegant device," said JK Shin, President and Head of Samsung's Mobile Communications Business. "The huge, 5.3" HD Super AMOLED screen is the largest, highest quality display available in any phone; the touch screen and S Pen combine to produce a uniquely accurate level of control and finesse, along with rich expressions across the GALAXY Note experience, enabling the introduction of new smartphone experiences."

"The artistic freedom of a paper notebook is coupled with the benefits of Samsung's smartphone technology and services, allowing users to create, edit and share with more style than ever before," Shin added.

State-of-the-art Display
The GALAXY Note features Samsung's own 5.3" HD Super AMOLED display providing vivid clarity that is superior to conventional HD displays. This ensures the best viewing experience for video, photo, document and web on the go with deep blacks and bright colors. The superior screen also offers a 180 degree viewing angle, allowing contents to be shared comfortably.

At 5.3" the best-in-class display is the largest ever included in a primary mobile device; measuring just 9.65mm thick, the GALAXY Note fits comfortably in a pocket to offer true portability.

Full Screen Utilization
The high resolution display ensures that PowerPoint presentations, web-pages, news apps and e-books can be viewed comfortably with minimal scrolling or zooming. Minimizing the need to switch between applications, the GALAXY Note's HD super AMOLED screen is large enough to allow meaningful split-screen operation in the most frequently used native apps.

Samsung has also included S Planner, a smart professional planning tool that makes full use of the device's large screen. The management planner integrates the phone's To-Do list and schedule; control and navigation is intuitive, helping users to comprehensively organize their lives.

Free Capture & Creation
The GALAXY Note's advanced pen input functionality is combined with the full touch screen to create a new input experience. The incorporated digital S Pen can be used for accurate sketching and artwork, and instantly capturing ideas freely before they float away.
The GALAXY Note features S Memo, a multimedia application designed to record all forms of user-created content. Pictures, voice recordings, typed text, handwritten notes or drawings can all be captured via a single application and converted to a 'memo', to be edited, annotated and shared as desired.

A one-step screen-capture function also allows users to instantly capture any screen; captured images can also be freely and accurately annotated using the S Pen before being filed or shared.

The S Pen functionality has been deeply integrated into the GALAXY Note's native applications to provide a richer interactive experience. Users will benefit from increased accuracy and control when editing or personalizing captured videos or photographs; and users will be able to draw and send handwritten images and notes via text message, email, and Samsung's ChatON communication service.

Broadening the opportunity to create new user experiences, Samsung plans to release the S Pen SDK allowing app developers to create fundamentally new applications and services incorporating the pen functionality.

Superior Usability, Powerful Performance
The 1.4GHz dual-core processor ensures the device is incredibly fast and a smooth user interface ensures seamless usability. Lightning fast network speeds are enabled through the HSPA+ and LTE-enabled device's super-fast connection, ensuring a quick and seamless browsing experience. This means that users can stream videos in real-time or engage with their friends through online gaming platforms.

Samsung is enhancing enterprise capabilities of the GALAXY Note through its partnership with Juniper Networks. Juniper's Junos Pulse SSL VPN provides secure remote access to corporate network resources. The SSL VPN enables large enterprise and service providers to meet high-volume secure access and authorization requirements, protecting corporate data with centralizes control and supporting employees' personal device efficiently.
