Android 3.2 running 7-inch Sharp tablet is one sale in Japan

Today the 7-inch Sharp Galapagos A01SH tablet goes on sale in Japan at retailers and directly from E-Mobile, available for as low as $1 (100 yen), you have to sign up with an ISP to score that deal. Contract free version costs 44,800 yen (under $400). It’s a Wi-Fi only tablet but is being promoted with a Pocket Wi-Fi. It is available from today.

The Sharp Galapagos A01SH sports a 7-inch 1024 x 600 display, Android 3.2 Honeycomb, Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 1GB of RAM, b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, GPS, 2MP front and rear 5 MP camera with flash, microSD and micro HDMI ports, various sensors and a 7.5-hour battery (video playback). It weighs 389g and measures 195 x 122 x 11.9mm in size. The tablet has access to Tsutaya’s digital content store.

Japanese Droid Sharp AQUOS 3D will be Available Globally

Last month I informed you one thing that Sharp will release a 3D Android cell phone in Japan with some unique features. Then there was a rumor that this phone will be release worldwide. Now after the visit is FCC is sure that I will get the phone in our hand within a few months. Sharps also made that clear already.

The model number is labeled as Sharp AQUOS IS12SH. It has two 8 megapixels camera on the back. Screen size is 4.2-inches with qHD resolution. Interestingly it has triband CDMA radio with other connectivity features. Which means Verizon or Sprint will be the candidates for US version of this Japanese phone. Release date of this 3D Sharp android phone is still unknown. Same for price issue too.

With 3D, 16 MP Camera Sharp Gives Japanese a Waterproof Android Phone

Sharp today presents an Android 2.3 flip phone, AQUOS PHONE THE HYBRID 007SH in Japan. It will be heading towards Japanese mobile carrier SoftBank in next month. This new Android mobile phone has many things to make you mad. At first it has a 3.4’’ FWVGA 854 X 480 resolution stereoscopic display which don’t any extra glass to create 3D image. Then it has a huge 16 megapixel camera on the back with flash. It is capable of shooting 720p video on HD.

Oh! This Android gadget is waterproof too. It also works on any GSM and CMDA network. But the chance of selling this phone outside Japan is almost zero. AQUOS 007SH also has a secondary 0.7’’ OLED display on the front. Connectivity features are GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Infrared and Bluetooth 3.0. This mobile has one built in TV tuner too with microHDMI output. And believe it or not this phone weighs only 140 grams. But we don’t heard anything about AQUOS HYBRID processor and RAM yet.
