Huawei laucnhes Nova duo officially, starts at $310

The Huawei Nova, which was unveiled alongside the Nova Plus at this year's IFA conference in Berlin, has been officially launched yesterday in China. With its new Nova series, Huawei looks to bring style and refinement to mid-rangers, crafting a pair of handsets designed to evoke the same sort of jealous looks owners of lesser devices feel when gazing upon Apple or Samsung's latest hero phones.

1st on the list, the Nova, a 5-inch device with a Full HD screen, Snapdragon 625 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 12-megapixel camera with larger-than-average pixels. It’s encased in an aluminum unibody shell and bears more than a passing resemblance to the Nexus 6P that Huawei built for Google. The Nova’s rear-mounted fingerprint reader is, according to its maker, the fastest in the world, requiring only 0.3 seconds to identify a user.

Huawei Nva Plus review

2nd on the list is a 5.5-inch Nova Plus, which has a different design and a couple of spec bumps, but is otherwise a direct match for the smaller sibling. The Nova Plus boasts a 16-megapixel camera (greater resolution, but smaller pixels: 1.12μm vs the Nova’s 1.25μm) and a 3,340mAh battery as its distinguishing features. It has the same Full HD resolution as the Nova.

As for pricing, the 3GB RAM variant carries a tag of RMB 2,099, which interprets into round $310 currently. The 4GB RAM version, prices RMB 2,399, or round $355. Colour choices embrace Vibrant Moon White and Champagne Gold (with black entrance panel) for the 3GB variant, and Rose Gold and Champagne Gold (with each black and white entrance panels) for the 4GB model.

Redmi Note 3 Pro is now available in Bangladesh for 16990 taka

Though the Xiaomi made Redmi Note 3 is available in Bangladesh for a long time but its until now the device has become officially available here with manufacturer's warranty. The Redmi Note 3 is available with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage along with the price tag of 16990 taka ($220). The company's Redmi Note series has traditionally been focused at the low end of the market – even more so than Xiaomi's other astonishingly good-value offerings, such as the flagship Mi5 series. However, it offers premium features such as metal bodywork, a fingerprint scanner, 5.5-inch IPS screen and a surprisingly fast processor.

It runs MIUI 7 based on Android Lollipop and supports dual 4G SIM cards (Micro + Nano). The handset packs a 4050mAh battery with fast charging support that can charge up to 50 percent in 1 hour. On the camera front, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and two-tone flash. The camera performs just about adequately in bright sunlit conditions but isn’t very good at handling bright skies. The dynamic range is unimpressive and the HDR mode doesn’t do much to solve this issue. It also houses a 5-megapixel front camera. It measures 150x76x8.65mm and weighs 164 grams.

LAST UPDATE: 12 August 2017

Asus has been making top class Android devices for several years now. Any many of their phones are very popular in Bangladesh for their exquisite camera and build quality. But until a few months ago, there were no distributors of Asus phones in Bangladesh. So people have to buy Asus phones from local shops knowing they will not get any warranty or after service whatsoever. Initially, Asus introduced 6 Models namely ZenFone 2, ZenFone 2 Deluxe, ZenFone laser with 3 different variants and ZenFone selfie. Global Brand private limited has been appointed as the distributor of ZenFone in Bangladesh officially.

In this post, I am writing down the retail price of Asus smartphones. Keep in mind that the given price might go up and down. Though I will try my best to update them regularly but you have to be careful before going to shopping with exactly the amount I've written here. Because the prices can be changed anytime without prior notice.
