While LG facing lawsuit action in US, they decided to released the latest Android firmware upgrade for the handset. It will make your T-Mobile G2x software version changes to Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread. Build number of the Gingerbread update is GRI40. It is surprising that LG yet to release Gingerbread for its International version, Optimus 2X.
This G2x update is only available through the LG Mobile Support tool. So you will need to download a 178MB file and use a computer to get it. If the update brings a fix to those issues plaguing the device since launch, LG probably chose to deliver it as fast as possible to help its class action case.
