Looks like Samsung is really busy in rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop to its devices. Samsung has already rolled out the update to the Galaxy S5, the Galaxy Note 3, the Galaxy Note 4, and the Galaxy S4 in various markets. Now, the Korean smartphone giant has started updating the Galaxy Note Edge in Australia. The OTA update has a file size of 1018.12 MB, so it would be better if you download the file over Wi-Fi.
The Galaxy Note Edge is almost identical to the Galaxy Note 4 in terms of internals so it was only natural that the curvy smartphone follow closely with Android Lollipop support. The extra screen does pose a lot of software challenges so patience may be necessary to fine tune the new OS to the odd new host.

The Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update for the Australian Samsung Galaxy Note Edge reportedly consists of the following package information: The model number is apparently SM-N915G and the build date is Feb. 13, 2015. Other key details include the Changelist: 4144270, Product code: XSA, PDA: N915GXXU1BOB7, CSC: N915GXSA1BOB7 and lastly, the MODEM: N915GXXU1BOB7.
Australians who haven’t received an update notification yet can force a manual check through Settings > About phone > Software update. If you know what you’re doing, SamMobile also has the Android 5.0.1 firmware file available for download, which can then be flashed with Odin.
