Samsung Galaxy S8 duo is now available in Bangladesh

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S8 and S8+ back in March 28th, 2017, the company’s first flagship phones since the Note 7 debacle in 2016. And after it's official release on April 21st, the phone is now also available in Bangladesh too. The Galaxy S8, priced at Tk. 77,900/- is available in Midnight Black and Maple Gold. The Galaxy S8+, priced at BDT 83,900 is available in Midnight Black, Maple Gold and Coral Blue.

The new phones’ most eye-catching feature is an almost completely bezel-free display, running the full width of the device, even curving around the edge. Samsung’s calls this the “infinity display”, and even the home button has been removed, replaced with a pressure-sensitive section at the bottom of the screen. The screen, with a resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels on both models, is also the first on a mobile phone to be rated as Mobile HDR Premium. The cameras on the two devices remain largely similar to those in the Galaxy S7: A 12MP rear-facing camera, with optical image stabilization, and an 8MP selfie camera, both with an F1.7 aperture. Inside the devices is an octa core CPU along with 4GB of Ram and 64GB of flash storage with an expansion slot for microSD card.

Unlike, Apple, which got rid of the headphone jack on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, Samsung's new S8 and S8+ still have a 3.5 mm connector and the phones will come with a set of AKG headphones in the box.

The LG G Flex 2 was introduced at CES earlier this year, and as the name suggests, its USP is the self-healing back. The company has made quite a few improvements and the back can now heal itself in just 10 seconds, as compared to three minutes on its predecessor. Additionally, the company also claims that the flexible display is now 20 percent more durable than before.

Samsung Galaxy S6 will be available on Russia from 16 April

Samsung announced their 2015 flagship in MWC earlier this month and confirmed that both devices will be released in 20 countries on April 10th. Once the initial launch markets receive the devices Samsung will expand sales of its latest flagships to other countries. Russia is not among the 20 countries but the country’s residents won’t have to wait for too long in order to pick up the new devices. Samsung is going to release the Galaxy S6 in Russia on April 16th.

The base model of the flagship will cost 49,990 rubles which is $820 at this moment. That’s more than what customers are going to pay in some other markets. Currency fluctuation is a major reason behind this high price tag. Hi-Tech.Mail hears that the Galaxy S6 sold in Russia will have dual-SIM support with 64GB storage. The 32GB model will not have dual-SIM support. The Galaxy S6 edge will also not have dual-SIM support and will be available with 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage options.

In the meantime it looks like Samsung Galaxy S6 is about to enjoy a stellar debut in Europe. According to a new report, pre-orders for the Korean giant’s latest flagship smartphone in Switzerland are four times higher than those of last year’s Samsung Galaxy S5.

Unlocked GSM Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is available on US via Amazon

If you just can’t wait until next week, when all major US carriers will start selling the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, you can buy the handset right now from Amazon. They are selling the international 32GB model (SM-N910), with the black version priced at $859.94 and the white version at $854.90. The gold version can also be purchased for $904.88, though that model will ship within 6 to 10 days, meaning you’re better off waiting for the official launch on October 17th. The phone also won’t work on CDMA networks like Verizon and Sprint.

Unfortunately, Amazon isn’t offering a warranty on the device, which i am not surprised considering it will be an imported unit, though you can buy a 1-year drops & spills warranty for an extra $89.99.

Price of contract free Samsung Galaxy Note 4

The Galaxy Note 4 is arguably one of the best extra-large smartphones that money can buy right now. It brings lots of improvements over the Note 3 from last year, including an enhanced display with 1440 x 2560 pixels, faster processor, better cameras (16 MP on the back, and 3.7 MP on the front), and a more useful S Pen stylus.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha is now available in Bangladesh for 65,000 taka

No matter Samsung using cheap plastic or not you have to admit there smartphone is well designed for everyday usage. I am always a fan of their removable back with changeable battery and microSD swap. And Samsung Galaxy Alpha is the first introduction by Samsung to change all these a little bit. Instead of tacky chrome accents on cheap plastic, the Alpha has a real metal frame. It looks an awful lot like a smaller and thinner Galaxy S5. Also the way that it feels is dramatically different. The Alpha is, therefore, aptly named as the inaugurator of what may be a brave new era for Samsung.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha compared with iPhone 6

Samsung has built its throne as king of Android devices on a foundation of high specs and low prices. The Galaxy Alpha doesn't fit neatly into that equation, as it's priced like a full flagship phone while missing a couple of the major selling points of such devices. The smartphone runs Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and features a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 720p 1280 x 720 pixels screen resolution which produces an effective pixel density of 312 PPI. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha which competes with the Apple iPhone 6 has a plastic back panel surrounded by a metal rim. The screen on the device has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Exynos 5433 processor with Mali-T628 GPU. In terms of memory, the device has 2 GB RAM coupled with an internal storage capacity of 32 GB. The storage capacity cannot be enhanced further as the device suffers from the absence of an external microSD card slot. The smartphone is available in four colour variants, namely Black, Blue, Gold and White. Samsung Galaxy Alpha also has an FM Radio and comes with Samsung's TouchWiz User Interface on top. Further the device is IP67 certified which makes the smartphone dust-proof and water-resistant.

Is Samsung Galaxy Alpha full metal?

In the imaging department the device comes with a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front camera. The camera supports dual-shot, face and smile detection, image stabilization, etc. The camera is capable of recording Full HD videos. Most importantly, the device ships with exclusive features like SHealth and a Heart Rate sensor just like Galaxy S5. In terms of safety, the device sports a Finger print sensor which keeps your data safe and secure. The user can register up to 3 fingerprints to unlock the device.

In the connectivity forum, the smartphone has 4G LTE support that promises faster connectivity along with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, Infrared, NFC and microUSB 3.0 port. The device is powered by a Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery which supports talk time up to 21 hours.

Price of Samsung Galaxy Alpha in Bangladesh

The device is now available in Bangladesh for 65,000 taka or $840. As always you will get 2 years of warranty with every original device. In the meantime you can also take a look at Galaxy Note 4 which is 80,000 taka (1030).
