It's more that 1 year Nokia release their Maemo 5 os based N900 in last november
2009. And this December 2010 must be a very good month for the Nokia N900 users. Because there are indications around the web that it might be the second smartphone in the world after Google Nexus S which can able to run Android 2.3 Gingerbread os. The Nokia N900 2.3 Gingerbread port comes courtesy of Alexey Roslyakov, a Russian coder( Also known as DrunkDebbuger). He says a publicly available experimental release( alpha may be)of nokia android 2.3 should come in late 2010. And it’s not completely functional at this stage. But cellular data, Wi-Fi and sound are a go and naturally support for the rest of the hardware is being added as GSMArena.com speaks.
If being an alpha tester isn’t much to your liking, you can try the stable Android 2.2.1 Froyo release for your N900. Roslyakov says it should be available for Christmas. Lets start your android journey with nokia.
