Samsung Galaxy S is not even an old phone now but already we have the leaked image and main specification list of next Galaxy S in our hand. A South Korean website published new information about the Samsung Galaxy S successor. The name is not finalized yet but we may call it the Samsung Galaxy S2. The phone codename is Seine and we expect official announcement in next month. Second edition of Samsung
Galaxy 2 will have a dual-core CPU and an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p Full HD video recording capability.
Some blurred photo of Samsung Galaxy S2 is also released at the same time. As far as heard the Samsung Galaxy S2 has Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. In addition, it is powered by Samsung’s custom dual core Orion SoC. This processor uses two ARM Cortex A9 cores both running at 1GHz much like in NVIDIA Tegra 2. But graphics chip information is still unknown. Though we heard from Samsung that they promises up to 5x improvement in the graphics performance compared to the current Hummingbird SoC so it might as well be the PowerVR SGX543. It has 1 GB memory onboard.
Next generation Samsung Galaxy S2 features 4.3’’ Super AMOLED plus WVGA screen in its 9 mm thick body. This Super AMOLED plus expected better than previous AMOLED. Galaxy S2 has 8-megapixel high-resolution HD camera. It can records 1080p Full HD video. Samsung Galaxy S2 has NFC integration and Personal Cloud Computing.
You will wait until MWC 2011 on February 13 for the final official statement. On February 1, Samsung will release another teaser to increase Galaxy S2 public interest.
