You might remember that Samsung released their first tablet, 7’’ P1000 Galaxy Tab last year after the success of Apple iPad. By that time it came with Android 2.2 froyo version. Now the tablet pc world changes. For the last 4 months we are talking about so many new high end tablets running Android 3.0 Honeycomb and Android 3.1 recently. Samsung is also busy with their upcoming two tablet Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1. So what’s about old Galaxy Tab users?
Finally Samsung decide to upgrade Galaxy Tab firmware with Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread. Its obviously a major update for Galaxy Tab P1000 considering that it will not be given Android 3.0 Honeycomb update never in future. The update is already available, through Kies in Italy. Only the unbranded version are getting this update now but we are sure that all the carrier locked and international users will be able to download the update soon. Though if you are interested then you can go for manual updating procedure now.
